Re: Deck of Art...Queen of Hearts
I'm finally catching up!--here's my Queen of hearts, at the beach in Oregon when my ds was about 5 (he's 30 now, but it was only yesterday--LOL)

Love the picture and the way you brought the gel/paint into the edges of it.
Re: Deck of Art...Queen of Hearts
Awesome job Gwen--love the pic and the blue

And my last one for the time being - now fully caught up to the current theme!
Clip journal reads: "Growing up well “inland” at a time when far-away holidays were only just coming into fashion for ordinary people, I have no childhood recollections of the ocean. Beach and shells were something I only knew theoretically. It wasn’t until a chance trip to Belgium as a teenager that I walked a beach, saw an ocean horizon and swam in salty water for the first time in my life. It was a cold, dreary day early in the year but I insisted that I would go for a swim – I did about ten strokes, and I was the only person there in a bikini!

Paper, tag, cutout and accent beads from Club Scrap "Seashore"; brad from Making Memories; peel-offs from Craft Creations; and some real shells and cotton wool spray.

Re: Deck of Art...Queen of Hearts
Great card, Petra. I think I had the same bikini, but I could wear it then!
Re: Deck of Art...Queen of Hearts
See? I'm still working on them.
I printed Mia's photo on a page from an Anthropologie catalog (it was a photo of the beach). I used some distress embossing powder (a couple of colors mixed together) for the sand and then some Stickles - gotta use Stickles. I think I'm going to coat it all with some gel medium...
