Marianne what a wonderful ATC. I love using photos to finish these off. Great addition with the color.
mpizzazz wrote:Phew, I remembered to finish this when I got back up to my Mom's house today. Of course, I left the stamp set up here and couldn't do it as planned at home. Continuing with a personal theme, this is a photo of a half destroyed house from a big storm in my hometown in March, 1962. I always liked this photo of the house sitting there broken in half with the calm Barely visible ocean in the background.
I really couldn't think of anything else to do to this other than some ink and chalks around the edges to bring out the texture of the paper. I don't want to distract from the angle of the second floor jutting out over nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? I did put the month and year on the back. Nothing startling on the back, it's a store bought queen of hearts.

Ok, I've added blue and green to the ocean, mostly green, afterall, it was the Atlantic Ocean in March!
In real life, it is a bit greener but this photo is truer to the color of the actual chalking around the edges than the other one.

thanks for the idea, I would have never thought of that.

I am really behind! Paula your Queen of Hearts ATC is beautiful. I like the muted effect very much.
Paula wrote:Here is my entry this week. It is a picture from 1958 in California. I printed it on linen, and added color with water colors, and adhered it to the card. It turned out very muted, but I like the effect. And it continues with the theme on BOM!

I'm playing catch up today! I'm still stuck on the circus one but I'll get there! The background for this came from some junk mail and the images come from one of my ATC books I found at our Arts and Crafts center. The words came from some old books that my kids found outside.

Lanita that is so cute. Great job with the colors and using your junk mail. I may look at my mail in a different light now.

Only two more to catch up on by Wed!!!
Here's my take on Ocean - me at about 5 (actually the photo was taken in Yuma in front of a fence, but I cut it out and mounted it on the beach) - used By the Seashore CS paper, Prismacolor pencils to add more color and cut out pail and shovel - didn't everyone have a little red pail and a yellow shovel??? :cool5:
