Petite Button Dress Swap - Due June 1st UPDATE

Post by Honey »

Would anyone like to participate in a petite button dress swap? I've posted some photos of ones that I've seen online.

We would each make one dress to send to someone. These look so darling that I hope some of you are willing to try! They are made of felt. :creating:

I thought we could have them due by June 1st.

PARTNERS:

Christy B. sends to InkPattie
Cheryl sends to Alison
Lanita sends to Julie
Pam in FL sends to Holly
Holly sends to Alison

Ink Pattie sends to Honey & Pam Cook
Paula sends to InkPattie

If I missed anyone, please let me know! Also my understanding is that Alison and InkPattie wanted to do 2 each. If not, let me know.

Please pm me with your address for your partner (or you can pm them directly with it if you'd prefer).

Thanks everyone for participating!!!

I am going to sign on for this one also. Boy You all have to stop coming up with such nifty projects - at least for a while.

The original ones were 2 pieces of felt sewn - and probably slightly stuffed. But I agree that I think we can just cut the felt dress out and then decorate as we are inspired to do so. I'm not so sure anyone wants to receive one of my hand sewn "goodies".

Oh, if anyone knows where to get those cute hangers, let me know. I don't think they are a requirement, I just think they look cute.

I think I got some ages and ages ago at one of the craft chains just need to see where they are hidden. I was thinking you could also use tiny clothes pins like the dress is on the clothes line.

Good idea Cheryl
I can see a mini clothesline on the wall with 4 or 5 of these hanging off.

These are so precious...but I don't sew and I know you all don't want something hand sewn by me so I'll pass on this...but perhaps just use paper etc and make a couple just for fun. BTW...get out some craft wire and make the hangers.

Heck no-- I'm thinking fabric glue would work as well, and the edges aren't finished. No need to with felt.
