Re: Weekend Challenge 3/6---TRANSFERS Extended 1 week!!!!!
Here are my feeble attempts this week. First I tried doing some water transfers but they didn't turn out so they are the backgrounds for these tags. Paper is the handmade paper from Down to Earth. Then I tried the layers of white glue which should simulate a packing tape type transfer. They didn't turn out. So then I bought some packing tape and two of the three are on these tags. The original black and white picture of Oriental designs was an ad for Judikins from a magazine.

Great work Dani and Marianne!!! I am not having good results with this challenge. I am either using too much gel medium and my paper gets stuck or not using enough and nothing transfers. I do plan on continuing to try though.
Re: Weekend Challenge 3/6---TRANSFERS Extended 1 week!!!!!
Lanita, make sure your medium dries completely and you are using enought water to remove the paper. I have also found glossy works much better than matte gel.

I am having absolutely no luck with this. I tried tape transfer as well as gel medium. They suck. The gel medium must have been too thin, since the rubbing tears the transfer, and no color came with the tape, only a little grey.
Can you transfer from glossy photo paper?

Re: Weekend Challenge 3/6---TRANSFERS Extended 1 week!!!!!
yes you can...try this...glossy photo paper art soaked in warm water for 10-15 seconds, place image face down on paper to be transferred to, cover with a towel and iron for about 20seconds. I haven't tried this yet, but I have this method in my art journal
