This weekend's challenge is inspired by all of Ruth Ann's latest creations.


Transfers!!!

I just posted 2 different links with step by step directions for Gel Medium Transfers

You may also do packing tape transfers (copy a pic and cover with packing tape. Burnish and burnish and burnish some more. Place in cup of h2o or spray water on back and let soak in. Eventually the paper peels away and you have a transfer on your tape. Let dry then use as you choose)
or any other transfering method you choose.

Make an ATC, Tag, Card, page in altered book, wallhanging or something with nothing in mind. Just Create.
Soon you will be looking for images to transfer trust me!

Challenge ends 3/15 at 7pm est (giving extra time for time change this weekend)

I want to try this over the weekend, but I have a question. Does it have to be a photocopy, or will it also work with ink jet printers? I thought I saw once that it worked well because of the toner, which would mean that the image really should be laser printed or photocopied. So has anyone tried it with an ink jet print?

all I use is my plain old HP Officejet 5610 ink jet printer that is hooked up to my computer.

Julie there are different methods for toner and gel does work for them too, but this is just one of the methods where you can use actual inkjet transfers. Many people will say they can't be used, but YES, they can!

Yeah! That's exactly the answer I wanted to hear. I have some thoughts about some stuff I'd like to try, but my printer is an ink jet. So I'm glad to know that it's not strictly a toner thing.
