Gel Medium question

Post by julierealtor »

Does anyone know if I can water down the remaining gel medium left in the bottom of my jar? It is getting dry and crusty...

The way I see it is - if it's unusable now, what will it hurt to try it?

Julie, I know I get some water in mine when I'm using it....I have a habit of using paintbrushes, dunking in water to rinse, taking out and maybe wiping with paper towel and going on to the next medium with a wet brush. I think it would work for some gluing of objects and light overall coverage of your substrate.....what the heck, if it's dried out and unusable, no harm in trying (is the way I reason things out!)

Gel medium is water based paint without color.
