acrylic stamps???

Post by ChristyB »

I have several clear acrylic stamps that have lost their "stickiness". Any ideas of how to find it?

If washing in coolish water doesn't help, then I usually just use a glue stick when I need to put it on a block. It will wash off with water...

You could try a bit of rubbing alcohol.....

Might try a touch of dishsoap when washing.

I wash mine in baby shampoo and warm water. Works like a charm.

usually water and dish soap, but watch out with using dawn, you have to rinse it well otherwise the soap will separate your ink when you stamp with it. :)

I think the reason why you need to wash them is to remove the oil from your hands and any residual stamp cleaner. I tried cleaning them with just the stamp cleaner once and it wouldn't restore the stick-um, but using a bit of soap does.

That's weird - my stamp cleaner from Stampin Up works just fine. I'm going to try the dish soap and see if Mia's shampoo will work, too. Good to have options in the middle of the night...
