It's a little machine to bind books..makes those square holes and crimps the coil shut for the book....fantastic lil thing if you like making books.

It's a great little gadget and I want one but I hate pink also. I might just get the blue one since I don't know what the big difference/improvement is.

It may be hard to find the blue one. The pink one can punch through thicker materials. The space to put things to be punched is wider, so they will fit in the machine. It also has a guide system for lining up the holes (the really tricky part of the process is getting the holes where you want them and not an extra part of a hole on the edge) and it's supposed to be more solidly built overall. But it is pink.
