Weekend Challenge 2/20---GLUE RESIST--winner pg4
The weekend challenge for 2/20 is glue resist
you'll need stamps--both background & focal
pva glue/bookbinding glue
both dye & pigment ink
small paintbrush
cardstock--smooth (can be both colored or white)
paper towel
take your plain ,or light colored cardstock and stamp your background image.
--for this one I used tan cs and stamped the grass with deep green chalk ink, stamped random enjoy with chestnut roan
set with your heat gun
overstamp with your focal image
--for this I used moth, birch tree, and phrase enjoy everything using black versafine
again set with heat gun
paint over focal images with very THIN layer of pva/bookbinding glue-no big drips or blobs of glue
dry with heat gun or let air dry
take pigment inks--which are juicier and take longer to dry- and smoosh all over cs, COMPLETELY COVER IT
--for this step I used colorbox pigment cats eyes in merlot, stucco, & brown
take paper towel and rub over image. The ink will come off the glue. If you want more ink to come off you can wet ever so slightly the paper towel (I used mom
spit but that is just me)
either heat set now or wait for it to dry---the pigment inks will take a bit of time.
Challenge ends 2/22 at 7pm est
as always all who play get entered into a random drawing for a prize pack.

Yeah! I wanta see if my mom spit still works. Last time I used it was when my grandson was 3 and he's about 16 (in 3 weeks).
Re: Weekend Challenge 2/20---GLUE RESIST

Here is my attempt. I like how it turned out. I thought it would make a nice graduation card.
