upcoming weekend challege
upcoming weekend challege
giving you another heads up
you'll need stamps--both background & focal
pva glue/bookbinding glue
both dye & pigment ink
small paintbrush
cardstock--smooth (can be both colored or white)
for those of you who are doing the card challenges you should be able to do this and use it for a card (trying to help you do double duty )

Re: upcoming weekend challege
Let's see...I have all the listed supplies, I don't have to work this weekend for the first time in weeks, I'm going to a crop on Sunday...sounds like fun!

Not sure what both dye and pigment ink is. I have Stamp'n Up ink pads and the refills.

Stampin Up inks are dye, I believe. Pigment inks are thicker and dry slower, so you can emboss easier. You don't 'color' over pigment inks, because water makes it separate into its base components and it 'runs.'
In the Fizz kit, you got a Colorbox Raven inkpad that's pigment (if you have that kit).

Actually, Stampin Up sells both dye (Classic) and pigment (Craft) inks. The dye inks are water-based and really shouldn't be used in archival-safe projects like scrapbooks. Pigment inks are kind of like acrylic paints; once they dry, they are permanent. They can be used in scrapbooks safely, but they do take longer to dry and you may inadvertently smear them.

You'll probably be able to do this with what ever you have on hand.Laurie wrote:

The pigment inks do tend to be wetter and take longer to dry, which is very useful for the final step. As with most though things can be interchanged. As you start if it isn't working correctly I'll go through my stuff to see what I have that would match up with yours.
