PAO Doll---Finished Creations

Post by azemigh »

This thread is for posting your finished doll. Even though your doll does not have a destination yet, we would all like to oooooh and ahhhhhh over them all. And some of us would like a little inspiration! :creating:

here is mine
I took pics of my art work, resized and printed out on WC paper. Cut out the shapes and attached to foam core board. Each piece is held together with loop of wire threaded with beads.
My face was used (sort of). Extra beads hung off side to balance
measures 17"

I had some inspiration from Somerset Studio Artist Cafe Vol2

Okay, my doll is finished (although I might add a few accessories if I have time). And here is her house, her in one outfit and then in another outfit w/an extra shirt. Enjoy!

I did shorten her arms and legs ('cause I'm a shorty) and made her a little chunkier than the pattern ('cause I am too) but I wish I could be more like her! :creating:

Christy-- I love it--so totally you right down to the face!

Donna-- when you start you can't stop! Love it and love the idea of accessories. Something tells me you used to play with paper dolls when you were younger. :D And now you are just sharing your passion. :creating:

Here is my doll. I started with this cute little beach shoe box. I really wanted to incorporate it into my doll. Then I was looking through a book called Fanciful Paper Projects by Sandra Evertson and came across this cute little fairy popping out of a paper mache' shoe. I took that idea, put my face on the little fairy (thanks Christy and Donna) and turned the box lid into a hinged platform for my doll. Inside are some inspirational keepsakes that inspire me.
