Here's my first attempt at making a litte xmas tree ornament from spin art. I have another one in the works - the glossy accents are drying so I will have to wait until tomorrow to finish it.
TFL!
Asian Artisan pearl with Glimmer Mists and alcohol inks.

Wow Dianne, Super Cool!
You should buy one of those little artificial Christmas Trees and decorate it with all your spin art ornaments. That would be so fun to do!
Cathy:)
PS How's Franklin?

Thanks, everyone!
And true to form, I decided to change it a bit....LOL
(My local scrapping friends know I am prone to making something, then take it apart and start over.)
This was really just a prototype, right? LOL
So now it is coated with glossy accents and I have another one drying too. They should be dry enough to post this evening. As much as I love glossy accents, tonight I'm going to try a good layer of UTP. If it works (and I like the result) using UTP will be much faster.
Again, thanks!

Cathy - Franklin (one of my kitties) is wonderful, getting more vocal every day....which is cool except when he wants to "talk" at 6:00 AM......

Very cool! Did you hand-cut the ornament after the spinning? Or did you die cut it? I'm thinking that would be an awesome project to keep Nicole occupied before the holidays. If it's a die that's compatible with my machine, I need to go find it.

I wish I had a die cut......
I found 3 ornaments in my clip art collection, printed them at the size I wanted, cut them out, glued them to heavy cardboard (not corregated) then cut out the image to make a template. That way I can see where to position the opening. Trace around the opening and then cut with xacto knife. Clear as mud? :D
Not like I've been obessed with these things or anything like that......

that's great Diane, and a very clever idea!
It will be interesting to see the difference between glossy accents and the UTP!
UTP will be quicker for sure!

What a great idea! My mom has a HL by her (I don't - pout pout) and when we went there last month I pointed out the Spin Art toy and strongly hinted that I wanted it for Christmas! I bought some Memories Mists there on clearance in anticipation lol.

For those who hadn't heard, we used the Spin Art toy at retreat this year - and it was my favorite class!
