qotd 1/23---What makes you happy?

Yes clean sheets
and towels
and rain
and coffee with my bff on Fridays
and weekends off (I have worked every weekend for the last 11 years except for vacation time)
and freshly mown lawn
and summer
and a quiet house so I can crank the music if I want or not
and memories of Def Leppard's concert last year

Right now, it has to be the phone calls, IMs and webcam time with my DH!

Like Ruth Ann...having my children & grand daughter home always makes my heart light, but I love:
- a walk right after the rain
- the sound of my children laughing
- watching my retriever run the fields
- that ahhh feeling when you first sink in to a nice hot bath
- the smell of fresh coffee in the morning
- watching the ever changing wild flowers in my fields
- the smell of a piney woods
- all night chit chat with a good friend
- finishing a creative project and feeling really great about it!

hmmm...I have lots of "happies" but, the top ones would be...

...my new grandson
...my children
...DH
...my doggie
...clean crisp sheets ( i love to take a hot shower and shave my legs before jumping in....seems to heightened the experience...lol)
...the quiet peacefulness of sitting on the back porch, at sunrise, with a hot cup of coffee on a cool spring day

...happy smells...fresh coffee, early morning outdoors, puppy breath, clean babies, freshly cut grass, bread baking, DH fresh from his shower

That would be a big yes on the sheets, a clean kitchen and a walk in the rain (it was foggy in the desert this am), but I love walking period! My dogs make me smile and laugh constantly and then there is chocolate!

Right now: the sound of the car door as DH puts the last of the kids in the van to have dinner at Grammy's - and I'm home ALONE! Later: the swoooosh swoosh sounds of skates and the hollow echo sounds of the puck being shot around a hockey rink!
