Throwing Axes

Post by Keitha »

We went axe-throwing for Cameron's last birthday, something most of us had never done before. He turned 19 which is the legal drinking age here, hence the photo of he and his mom with the beers. Given the set-up, most of the photos are of people's backs, but I wanted to scrap more than just the group shot of us. In fact, I've put additional photos in a page protector that will be sandwiched between these pages in the album. Echo Park Let's Lumberjack papers and ephemera, some birthday die-cuts and some old tags and stickers from my stash. The camping kit I scrapped recently had the Lumberjack stamps in it; the crossed axes came in handy here. The tree ring stamps are from an old Wild Whisper set.

Such a fun layout! I always enjoy your pages, Keitha, and how all the elements tie together.

I admit, this is a unique activity. We have an axe throwing place here in town, but do not know anyone who has been there.

Keitha, your layout is fun and it shows!

I love it!
For many reasons, I rarely have enough photos for a 2 page layout. When I do, it seems I have too many. I’ve added packet pages between and I think it’s such a great idea.

Axe throwing has to be as much fun as it seems.

Thanks ladies! It was fun; Pat, grab your family and go check out that place in town.

I do love themed supplies and organize them by category/theme; papers in file folders and embellishments in drawers in Iris carts. My process is typically to choose the papers, and then pull out the embellishment drawer for that category to look through. That way I've access to anything I might have that would suit the topic of the page, whether it's from the same collection as the papers or something different - new or old. If I'm combining two subjects - here axe throwing and birthday, I just look in both drawers. So really it's my process that allows me to pull different elements that all work together. And perhaps explains why I struggle with generic supplies.

Looks like fun. You are definitely the queen of two page layouts.
