I’ve wanted to layer shapes using some of these mixed media backgrounds. Of course the dimension is more apparent IRL and I thought about inking the edges of the hearts to make them stand out more. Then I decided that would defeat the whole purpose. I considered using textured solids instead of the mixed media for the hearts but I felt they would become the focus instead of the photos.

I struggled with this one. Had to let it sit overnight. Watched MK’s video making star embellishment clusters and - that’s what it needed!

Here’s another one I’ve struggled with. Going to declare it finished until I hear back from Mia for journaling input. I only remember they were traveling to another school for some sort of competition.
