What a Week

Hey, Debi - bet your week is a breeze compared to mine.

George, Adam, Chris and I have the :censor: Chinese virus. George is at the infusion clinic now and I expect I'll be there tomorrow. I haven't been able to eat anything because it all tastes like sweet fruity yuck so I'm dropping pounds and energy left and right.

Our PayPal account was hacked and we were hit up for a lot of off shore purchases before it was caught. Whoo hoo.

The neighbor is out of town and I'm taking care of the horses. Don't think the stalls will be cleaned this week.

:angry48:

Oh no  That's too much at one time. I hope the infusions kick that virus to the curb real quick and that the PayPal account gets straightened out. Just feed and water the horses (or find someone else to do it if you don't have the energy). They'll be fine if the stalls aren't cleaned for a few days. (says the girl that knows nothing about taking care of horses :D )

Oh Pam! I’m so so sorry.
Do you follow treatronaathome.com? I highly recommend it and wish I knew of it in December.

Sue, I've always been one of those people that couldn't bear seeing horses standing in filth. (Or any animal, for that matter.) I managed to clean half of Micah's stall this morning, and will try to get some of Bailey's this afternoon after infusion. I'm actually doing better now that I've been able to force some food. This is not a recommended way to lose weight!

Recovering from the virus and out of quarantine! Then... there's always a "then," right?

Apollo decided that he would jump on my right hand with his pterodactyl claws and sliced my hand almost to the bone. :censor: He caught me on that thin part of the hand between the thumb and index finger beside the bone and tendon. Thankfully he missed the veins.

The older I get the more parts of the body I learn how to bandage. That'll probably be my epitaph!

It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings, and I haven't heard any fat ladies around here yet.

George has what the dr. described as a touch of pneumonia. He's mending fast but dangitall - men are the biggest babies when they're sick. He wanted me to take him to the ER when he hadn't even been on his antibiotics for 24 hours. Nobody has ever been as sick as he was. Just ask him.

Julie's mom was in a head-on collision Friday afternoon. She had internal bleeding, which was finally brought under control, but the worst of it was Hangman's fracture. She underwent surgery at 10:30 this morning and has a great prognosis. C2 and C3 were both involved and my understanding is that there was a complete break.

As for me - I was forced into entering the 21st century. My poor flip phone will no longer be usable soon (3G), so I ended up with a phone that I'll need videos to figure out how to use. George keeps chasing me down in the house and handing the dratted thing to me. If I wanted to be in constant contact I'd put it in my :censor: pocket! Just because it "dinged" that doesn't mean that I want to look at it! The first video I want to find is "how to turn it off."

Holy hell, Pam!

As for the phone, turn the volume all the way off and it won't ding at you.

I found a cure for the phone issue. I've mowed grass for the past 2 afternoons. Peaceful, just the sound of the mower, the wind in my hair and the sun on my face. Of course as soon as I walk in I'm told that I should always take the phone with me in case I need it. (Funny, there was never any concern about me taking the old one out with me.) So, when I went out to put the mower away I took my phone with me and put it in the cup holder on the mower. I'm pretty sure it's still there.

George is almost as good as he was before the virus. Funny how 2 1/2 days of an antibiotic can do that. ;)
