Using Old LOs

Post by pbp908 »

I actually pulled out some old CS ALSB LOs that I've had sitting since maybe 2008? I'm actually shocked that I kept them but maybe it was serendipity that I did since we all dressed up in 50s finest last weekend. Please note that I'm using my patented "stand so you look 3" shorter" stance in the photos with George and my sister. Also, could someone please remind me to not squinch my eyes when I smile???

The LO that goes with this group is actually sketch #18 for the 6x6 class, so I'll post it on Monday (got to follow the rules! ). I tried to incorporate papers and motifs from the first LO in the pages that use the Cruisin' papers. And the first person to laugh at my hat - which slid to the other side of my head and I didn't realize it until I got home - and the ugly glasses, well, welcome to the club!

How wonderful! The pages are perfect for your photos.
That’s one of the last kits I got from them and I’ve used most of it.

Those are the cutest layouts I've seen in a long time! You look like an older version of Shimelle!

So adorable! And the kit is definitely a perfect fit. That was one of the themes I really struggled to use up, and it was probably the beginning of the end of my membership. I just couldn't wrap my head around how to use those themes. Nicely done!

One of my favorite layouts was done with that kit-Robin unearthed from the back of a kitchen cabinet my Mom's 1954 Sunbeam Mixmaster. She was a teen and thought it was the coolest thing. We immediately had to make brownies and I took several photos and used that kit. Even all the words and quotes fit that classic mixer perfectly.

I can just imagine that would have been a perfect layout with that mixer!
