The prompt was to use older products. No problem.

Epic failure! For Day 14 mixed media, I used white texture paste and a stencil. While still wet I sprayed with a yellow glimmer mist and this is what I got.

So then I notice the bottle says Transparent gloss. Wait, what? Why would this be a thing? Texture paste is meant to be seen!
So Pam, what can I do to salvage this?

I don't have an answer for you, but I do totally dig it even with the background color that came through. I'm totally getting an ancient stone wall kind of vibe that would look awesome on a travel layout. I'm not sure how to incorporate it, but I'd probably start by gently tearing it out (I'd probably try wetting the paper to loosen the fibers), and then just having it as a giant texture element by itself, rather than try to work around in on its original background cardstock. I'm glad that you're trying to salvage it. It's cool, even if it isn't what you intended.

Salvage? I love it. Tell us what you don’t like about it. It’s very cool IMHO.

Paper tearing was the prompt for this one. Poor Zain. All ready for his cricket season and - lockdown - again.

Today’s prompt was to use scraps. All but the background came from my scraps bins.

Day 14: mixed media

My mother passed away almost 3 years ago and I finally was emotional ready to sort through her crafting supplies. I found these balloon punches. My daughter was very close to my mom so it was fitting to use the punches for this layout.

It’s great Kathy! Your mixed media shines in the background and that was a great idea to remember your mom with the balloon punch.

Here’s mine for today. The prompt is to make a monochrome LO. 2017.

Day 18: selfie
I am so excited to use this flower that has been in my stash so long. And triple matted a photo which I haven't done in a long time.
