applying for a new job... I GOT IT!!!!

Our former city attorney, who is now the attorney for the Yakima School District, sent me a job listing for an assistant for him and the assistant superintendent, and I've been jumping through all the hoops on their employment website in order to apply for this. Wish me luck! It would be a change for the better, plus a substantial pay increase.

I've been with Selah for almost 12 years, but the last 2 years have taken a toll on me. I could easily stay where I am, but opportunity knocked and I decided to take the chance. It's kind of scary to be applying for a new job, but he really wanted me to apply for it, so we'll see how it goes. The Mayor knows, and a coworker I'm using as a professional reference, but I haven't told anyone else and won't unless I get an offer.

So, send me good vibes and anything else you think might help!
