Prayers Greatly Appreciated

Post by pbp908 »

Grandma Eddy and Bonnie have both tested positive for Covid. Eddy is in her mid-90s and frail so this is very worrisome. Please keep both in prayer, send healing thoughts, or whatever you can. All are welcomed and needed.

EDIT: Bonnie's husband Mike has now tested positive. All 3 are being scheduled for infusion therapy. So far symptoms are all fairly mild. They all had the J&J vax a few weeks ago. Which makes me ask the question - what good is the :censor: thing???

Oh no. Prayers headed their way. The infection rate has substantially increased here in the Quad Cities. So sad.

Pam, I understand why you would question the efficacy of the injections. The data doesn’t look good, and yet -

Not going down that rabbit hole!

Keeping my best thoughts for all of them. I hope the vaccinations will keep the symptoms milder.

If it's the Delta strain, it is more resistant to the vaccine. I won't attempt to explain it, Pam C. would do a much better job.

Hoping the infusion therapy helps them!

Actually, the original vax is supposed to create antibodies for the first strain. It doesn't create them for the variants. Wanna bet there's going to be a new vax for every variant?? Did you know that your flu vax was created for last year's flu? If there's a variant, which is exactly what viruses do - mutate, your flu shot won't provided immunity from this year's strain.

I can’t imagine how anyone could predict what strain the flu will be a year in advance. Or am I just not informed? I try not to watch the ‘news’ if at all possible.
