Kathryn! What sweet cards.

I read Dracula a couple of years ago and you’re probably right - I’ll bet he is still lurking!

I'm not sure how I missed seeing this Challenge, but I'll be thinking of something other than Smithfield Ham to put on a card! This is a great challenge, Marianne. I love your cards, especially the Peace On Earth ones.

I'm finding this one a bit of a challenge. Should it be corn fields, buckeyes (not the Ohio State team) or soy beans. I could stretch it to include Lake Erie, we're not too far...or Maumee Bay. Mostly we are known for being a perfect manufacturing area with help wanted signs everywhere.
I think I'll keep thinking on this one.

There are a few good ideas here:

Anyone else struggling, google your state symbols!

I put my thinking cap on, and went DUH! Findlay, Ohio is known as FLAG CITY.
I pulled out some flag inspired fabric from my stash and actually sewed the fabric to the card base.

A simple card, Happy Holidays from Findlay, Flag City

I think I need to swap out the sentiment to reflect Christmas.

That’s brilliant!
I’ve been thinking about mine all day and chances are, I’m over-thinking it. You might find that hard to believe?

Good thinking, Pat, your card could fit several holidays with various sentiments.

I’ve seen cardinals in our yard almost everyday since Marianne posted this challenge. We have pines, cedar, and holly in our yard and the bright red berries on the Nandina bushes most all winter (just learned they’re toxic to birds, but I digress!). Snowfall doesn’t happen that often. My card ended up looking rather traditional after all.
I don’t have a single cardinal stamp in my stash so I used a stock photo from the internet. My plan is to make at least 3 more using different photos.

Beautiful cards, Pam! I love cardinals. They are such a bright spot during the lack of color in Winter.

Finally, I have one to share. I have a few others brewing, hopefully they’ll materialize on paper similar to what’s in my head!

Our little town is on a lake. The lake draws people from the region to camp…even Santa, apparently!

Thank you, Pam. & Marianne! I had to think a while about this challenge, then came up with some ideas - some I’m not sure I can pull off…

Another lake theme. Every summer our town has “Lakefest”. The street through town is closed (now that we have a new bridge/bypass) and there are many festivities, including hot air balloons.
