Finished my March spreads late Sunday night and some didn’t turn out so great so I’m skipping a few here. But the most important spreads survived. I used Planning With Kay’s Hummingbird collection which I’ve used before and love. It seemed fitting to use it again with hummers coming to my feeders and nesting already. Today it will be 72 degrees and lovely. Spring migration for birds is in full swing. I’ve had over 1000 Sandhill Cranes in just two hours working thermals above my house and then moving northwards to their far off nesting sites.
Here we go

Re: 2012 March BUJO
Oh these pages just make me happy. I went and bought just a regular off-the-shelf organizer/journal thing in late January, and keep thinking I should jazz it up to make it more inviting. I'm doing a terrible job of writing down what I want/need to accomplish in there. I love your ideas! For me though, I first need to establish the habit of writing stuff down!

Yes, the hummingbirds are perfect!
Re: 2012 March BUJO
How wonderful to see all those Sandhill Cranes, and to have Hummingbirds coming to your feeders.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Kathryn, we have one species of hummingbird, the Anna’s, that is here all year round. So feeders stay filled for them. Also arriving for spring/summer are the Black-Chinned Hummers that will nest here too. We get 5 other species migrating through the Valley to further northern nesting sites. August is particularly amazing during fall migration. There is a winery that I bird regularly that keeps nectar feeders filled. They can estimate 800 humming bird visits a day during fall migration! It’s wild!
