March 2021 Christmas paper crafts

Post by nchoney »

I thought about making some tags, too but already went overboard making these card examples. March's challenge I'd to make cards or tags with just Kraft and white. I tossed in a little silver sparkle too.

Have fun!!

How pretty! What a great idea. I know I have white embellishments in my Christmas stash.

I started with the snowflakes. I diecut a bunch of them when I was down at Helen's. Today, I rummaged through other diecuts I knew I had. Mostly from some swaps I had done. I also jumped into the stamping today. Hadn't done any heat embossing in a while, so I pulled some of that out, too.

What did you use for the card bases? something metallic?

These are really pretty! I was wondering about the snowflakes and whether they were die cuts or embossed, but then you read my mind and answered my question. :-)

The card bases are a shimmery Kraft cardstock.

And yep, some snowflakes were diecut and some were heat embossed.

The trees were diecut and I got that idea from one of Keitha's layouts I think. Someone cut those trees out of white and it caught my eye.

I used the back of Christmas paper scraps to cut the trees and scraps for the scalloped circles and sentiments. I had to add the gold scalloped circles because you couldn’t read the sentiment when it was directly over the tree. Thinking they might need something else but not sure yet. Regardless - 6 more cards ready for December!

I love them, Pam! That tree is one of my favorite Christmas dies.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make something for this Challenge, this weekend.

I think I should have offset the scalloped circle and sentiment to the right. Oh well.

I think it looks just fine! I really like the pop of red and the font used for the sentiment.
