Furbabies, birds you love to see, wildlife... I'm not actually picky! Show me the animals that bring you joy one way or another!

I don't think I've shared this one. I think everyone will recognize this 70 lb. lap dog pretending he's Churchill.

We rescued Chloe in 2016 when she was 8 months old. We did a doggy DNA test and learned she is 75% Australian Shepherd and 25% Parson Russel Terrier. She is super smart and full of personality. And she has one blue eye and one brown eye. #whorescuedwho

Here's Cheerio - the subject of many of my pages this year. Today marks one year since we adopted him. He can be a handful at times, but all-in-all he's been a good cat.

Here's a photo from May; Cooper is 10 months old here and almost full grown. He still loves to sit on sofas, lounges, chairs - even if he barely fits. Yesterday I saw him standing on the ottoman - he reminded me of those circus elephants standing on little balls but sadly I didn't have my camera handy.

Her whiskers were black until a couple years ago. She's 11 years old now and has more white in the black. ;)

Debbie, I'm glad to know that my dogs aren't the only ones that do that!

I actually pulled out the camera yesterday because I had no recent photos of the cats. First up is Ghost, who was kind enough to pose for me. I love the one shot that looks like he's thinking "Are you looking at me?" - said in DeNiro's voice, of course.

And Bugs Bunny - who for some reason loves sleeping in my bed when I'm not. He's recovering from a bite that became infected and is just now getting back to his old self. He yowls to go out at 4:30 in the morning and then stays out for hours. Comes home, eats a few bites and sleeps for a couple of hours. Then he repeats the yowling and comes home around 8:00. Last night he came home smelling like wood smoke, so he evidently was visiting 2 doors down while they were enjoying sitting outside around the fire pit. He was in his "Leave me alone - I'm sleeping" phase so only the one good photo of him.

This is Bailey, the cat-next-door. We often find him sitting in a sunny spot in our garden. He's named after "Bailey's" the whisky and cream liqueur that's a similar colour. I bet he was a gorgeous kitten!

I love marmalade cats! At one time I had several of them. Bailey is certainly a handsome boy! (And my favorite drink. ;) )
