Born To Be Wild Card
Born To Be Wild Card
A new experience for me this Sunday...a drive-by baby shower! I bought this set of stamps just because it was so darn cute even though at the time I had no need for it. Well lucky me! I had the perfect thing for a baby’s card. This is for my auto mechanic that I have followed from dealer to dealer but no longer works where my car would be serviced. But so nice that we’ve kept in contact. They are a darling couple and are expecting their second daughter. The animals were die cut three times to make them more chipboard like and the zebra is on an action wobbler. All CP items.

It's adorable! I love stacks of animals!

This is THE MOST adorable card.
I think I need to start collecting CP inks. The colors are just amazing. Or is it the talent of the card maker that makes them look so good?

Everyone thank you so much for your comments! It was fun making this card since there’s been no occasion for a baby card in ages.
Sue I have to say I love CP inks and now have all the colors issued so far plus reinkers. I used the pink ink pad to make that skinny edge around the main panel so reinkers are necessary. The background is CP patterned paper and her paper pads always use and list specific ink colors so you can coordinate stamping with the paper if desired. This was an easy choice and the paper pad was issued the same time as these stamps.
I have my Oxides plus a few odd ink pads (love to experiment with new to me inks) handy on my desk but these days I go to my CP inks regardless of what I am working on.

There are so many colors, I don't even know where to start.
Farley, what are your Go-To colors?

This card is adorable! Love the idea of a drive thru shower! I was invited to a baby shower on Sunday but didn't go as I am immune suppressed and COVID is rampant here.

CP inks come in three classifications. Neutrals, Party which are bright vibrant colors and Spa which are the more muted tones. I tend to gravitate to the Spa colors though I use them all. My favorites in Spa are in a bundle of 8 colors called Paradise Found.

Re: Born To Be Wild Card
Thank you, Farley. I also like the colors in the Spa category. I was thinking of ordering a set of mini pads for starters.

Re: Born To Be Wild Card
Not all colors in minis yet but Paradise Found is. It’s a nice way to collect the colors. I often use a few of the minis I have for swiping edges of card stock to make a coordinating matte. Recommend the reinkers if you can. It makes a difference keeping the pads juicy.
