Black Ice

Post by Debbie J »

This is a new technique to me, it’s been around for awhile but I’m just now trying it. It’s fun and IRL the shine is awesome. My card group the WAS meeting once a month has been doing mail swaps and this month was try a new technique using a Christmas theme.

I loosely followed this you tube video. I had some old Club Scrap shiny card stock that was an Asian theme but don’t remember the name. It’s fun.

Well, that worked but there are 3 different colored cards there and they all pretty much look the same.

I’ll be watching the video & giving this a try, your cards are beautiful.

Not gonna lie, tho...my insurance agent’s mind immediately thought the worst until I remembered most places in the USA are still above freezing.

Wonder how it would look if you used a clear sparkly embossing powder? I may have to give it a go,

The embossing powder I used was clear but no sparkles, sparkles would be awesome!

Well, I knew being in AZ you weren't talking about hazardous driving conditions; we'll have our black ice soon enough. Very cool technique; I've never heard of it. Your cards are gorgeous - definitely going to give it a try.
