This Weekend...what will you be doing?

Post by paddlegal »

I will be mainly staying indoors avoiding the smoke. Fires in Northern CA are still raging and I haven’t seen much of the sun except a red orb at sunrise and sunset. Everything is covered in ash. 100* temps have dropped a few degrees thank goodness. But first I must make that all-important drive to Lodi to pick up my wine club selection from Oak Farm Vineyards.

Then home to work on my September BUJO and make a few cards in preparation for your September Card Challenge...

Cheers!

Big on line scrapbooking event starting today at 5pm and Saturday and Sunday also. It's called ScrapSmarter Experience. Looking forward to it. I even purchased some "newer" stuff to work with that I'm excited about.

I'm still nursing Ghost along, and have been harvesting and drying herbs today. I still have oregano, rosemary and lemon thyme to go, plus another cutting of catnip and basil. Bugs is going nuts in here begging for catnip - he almost took my hand off when I offered him a small sprig of it. Strange that he walks past the container outside several times a day and doesn't pay any attention to it, but bring it in the house to dry?? Game on!

The big excitement here in OZ today was there was snow west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains and also down in Victoria in the hills in Melbourne . Kids made tiny little snowmen. Meanwhile in our area it was more walks on the beach in shorts and bare feet.

I only worked 13 hours yesterday, which given that we go to camera on Monday wasn't bad at all. Mind you I did answer emails throughout the evening and have already addressed a couple this morning. Staying in North Bay this weekend; Bob is driving up this morning and should arrive in time for a late breakfast. Meanwhile I've got a mini-album project here at the hotel I'm working on. It's jacket weather here at last in the mornings/evenings; we should see a mix of sun and cloud and possibly some rain this weekend. There'll be snow the next couple of weeks - at least on our set, courtesy of the Special Effects boys.

Doing some more organizing of the wedding scrapbook stuff. And doing some of the die cutting ahead, especially things that are layered and need to be assembled. Then on to stamping and coloring. Trying to then place embellishments with the photo groups: shower, rehearsal, dinners, etc. Hopefully then I won't leave out something that I bought just for a certain set of photos.

Spending every minute possible on the beach with Kenan, his parents, and Joel. I can’t believe how perfect the weather is. Making lots of memories to record.

What beach? Where? I can't see you from our balcony!

Brian and I drove out with a picnic to a wooded area where there is a "Birdwatchers' Carpark". There are feeding tables and lots of different woodland birds come to feed if you go round with a little bag of seed. So watched them all eating their lunch while we ate ours.

I now have tons of basil, oregano, catnip and thyme! And the house smells like an Italian restaurant. ;)

Sounds like you all had a very busy weekend.

Pam C I know how much you will be enjoying your time with the family.

Pam P I can smell them all here now!!!

I have really not done much. We are kind of stuck here in the house, can't take any chances as Joe will be having surgery this week. Thank goodness it is in and out and he won't have to stay overnight.

North Myrtle. A bit of a hike from your beach.
