Keitha's challenge
Keitha's challenge
Okay, here's my challenge to you all: scrapbook something not in your usual size/format. If you typically do 12x12 pages try a smaller page size - 8.5x11, 6x8 or 9x12 come to mind - or a Travelers Notebook, or a pocket page. If you absolutely cannot scrap in any size other than 12x12 - although you could still do a pocket page that size - then make a non-standard sized card to show us.
Changing your size is an easy way to switch it up; I've recently been scrapping in a Travelers Notebook and made the surprising discovery that when I work in that smaller format I make different product choices and also approach the project differently. I'm using my just-posted Pirate Museum TN as my example, you can find it here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=13754

Re: Keitha's challenge
Well, I just finished up this birthday card for my cousins husband. It’s in the 6x6 format. I usually stay away from odd size cards because of the extra postage and the trip to the post office that is usually required. I used embossing powder for the Happy Birthday sentiment and odds and ends of scraps from my pile. He’s 6’4 big guy and loves pink! He even has pink flamingo trunks for the pool! I’m the only one he lets tease him about wearing pink. Lol I thought the embossed Happy Birthday had a masculine feel to it.

Two 5x7 cards - can’t tell you the last time I made a card other than 4.25x5.5!

I’ve never done 4” x 6” cards before, but I did today! I cross-posted this in Farley’s challenge, too.

Re: Keitha's challenge
Keitha, what size is your TN? Mine has pages that are 3.75 x 6.25 - - - pretty small. I had planned to use for my COVID album but wondering if there are larger sizes.
