Not smoking will help him heal faster.
I couldn't use the patches - I'm allergic to the adhesive. The gum works well in case he decides to go that route.

Since Tom came home a week ago yesterday
he has not had a cigarette or a beer.
He is improving a lot but he feels so helpless.
He has taken up so much time with a daily washdown
getting his pills in him and getting ready for homecare
to come.
He can't get any food ready so I'm fixing his plate and cutting things up
for him. Sometimes he can't pull
his pants up either. I get him dressed too.

nor reading many emails.

Today is his surgery to close up the cuts on his arm.
He goes into the hospital at 9:15 and surgery at 10:30
I can go to the waiting room. Yay!
