Using those strips Challenge!

Post by Monica »

Keitha had asked about storing SKU strips, which a lot of manufacturers are doing as a pp design with the bar code to one side, but instead of hoarding/storing, how about we use them instead? This challenge can also be done with strips of scrap paper, so don't think you can't play because you don't have those SKU strips!

Here are some ideas to spark creativity. DISCLAIMER: None of these are mine. The sketch is from http://www.sketchsavvy.blogspot.com and the two layouts from Pinterest.

Great page Debbie.
I forget how often they scrape it all off (the gum). Monica probably knows. 8-)

Here's mine. I don't normally do a page about a bug, but I guess I'm just easily entertained these days and I think these beetles are so beautiful with their iridescent green color.

I had branding strips all saved up so this was an easy one.

It really is a great way to use all those strips and scraps. Stick them down in random order (or what seems to be), put a few layers behind your photo, a title and some journaling.

These pages are so pretty!

Today’s LOAD prompt is making a page about someone or something you’ve loved (like a crush on The Beatles I suppose).
Does anyone else remember the Cowsills? Barry smiled at me once and I was done. I need to find that photo. I have an autographed photo stashed away somewhere. Still can’t find it so I used this stock photo instead. He died in New Orleans during Katrina. Mental Illness was really what killed him. Supposedly he was living on the streets. I was so sad to hear it. For a time, the family lived in the Canton Ohio area - a short walk from Joel’s childhood home. The kids would sit on their bikes in the Cowsill’s driveway and listen to them practice.

Yes, I had a big crush on him!

This is a terrific challenge and I’m impressed with all the saved strips of one kind or another. Wonderful LOs and so many strips fit the theme or color of the subject matter.
