Color Challenge - EDITED

Post by pbp908 »

Anyone want to play? It thought a color challenge might be fun to try.

Use only black, white and yellow and one accent color in your LO. Love this example I found on Pinterest using Maggie Holmes papers.

EDIT: If you're using flowers on your LO, the leaves are considered to be a neutral, so don't feel like you have to pull your green (or brown or whatever) leaves off of your flowers!

I'll play! I just pulled out my Maggie Holmes stuff - great minds think alike, you know.
Not sure I have any of her yellow products left but chances are, I have something else.

My youngest cousin on my dad's side contacted me recently. I pulled out some photos to share with him and have been motivated to get these vintage photos scrapbooked. As if I was running out of photos to work with.

Hmm, yellow is so not my colour but I'll see. I really like the pocket holding the additional photos on the sample page here.

I was shocked how little hello I had to work with.
My extra color was navy blue. I can’t get a good photo though.

I fell in love with the example before I checked to see if I had supplies! This is cobbled together from a lot of odds and ends that I found in my scraps container. The paper that I found dictated the accent color. It was a good excuse to use that very distressed flower that's been hanging around for too long.

This is mother, Madeline. She's who Maddie was named after and is therefore the Original Maddie!

What a beautiful, serene layout, Pam. You would never guess it was "cobbled together from odds and ends"!

These are all wonderful pages. Great job, ladies.

This is my dad. I thought the picture might have been taken at their Lake of the Ozarks property, before they built their retirement house, but he looks too young. Regardless, he looks happy in his hammock, martini in hand.
