Hope during lockdown.
Hope during lockdown.
Dabbling with mixed media is something new for me. There's texture paste, stencilling, stamping on tissue paper, then the die-cuts and the painted wooden birdcage. Thankyou to the kind friend who sent me the little birds in the last swap. They are just perfect, flying free!

Great job, Kathryn! The more you do it the more you get hooked.

That's lovely, Kathryn! So many techniques here; no one would know you're a novice.

You did a great job on that! I know you'll keep playing with the mixed media now!

This is lovely, Kathryn! The first thought that came to my mind is the poem by Emily Dickinson, Hope is the Thing with Feathers.

Thankyou, friends for your kind comments and encouragement. It was fun to do, and seemed to take on a life of its own!

That’s exactly the fun of it Kathryn! You start with one idea and it turns into something else. Beautiful art Kathryn!
