March 2020 VERY LATE, Neglected Supplies Challenge: DIE CUTS

Post by pat-czap »

Sorry about not remembering this challenge.
My layout uses 2 die cuts from a previous die cut swap. Subject is my grandson Oliver, who has the gift of dress up. Thank you to the swap member who provided the metallic die cuts.
Hope to see some submissions, whether it be layouts or cards.
Thanks!

What a fun page!
Going to go grab my die cut to make sure I use it today...

And here it is. Now I need a coffee!

Today is the first day I’ve felt like really crafting something. I thought a little uplifting was in order and made this card from a recent arrival of CP goodies. I used 3 dies on this card. The matte with stitched border, the “splash” (called Puddle Jumper) mini cover plate and it’s frame.

I have a lot of them on my desk now and working on cards! I still need to do the washi challenge, too.

What a beautiful card, Farley. I love the different shades of blue.
Pam, such a happy page - love it!
Pat, that photo is priceless and you picked the perfect paper!

I'll try to do something this weekend. I definitely have the time, but the creative juices aren't running at the moment.

So good to see you here, Farley! You've been missed and loved. :happy94:

I pulled out a lot of die cuts from our swaps and decided to make cards. I never have "any occasion" cards so that was my primary focus.

Most of the die cuts were white, so I used some trusty sprays to change the colors. I wanted 2 of them to be silver, and none of the sprays worked. Enter the trusty old metallic wax. Talk about using neglected supplies! One of the cards is a nod to the washi tape challenge. I used the "leftover" from our Valentine's swap for that one.

OK, now for my cards.

And the last three. Looks like I need to make some envelopes now! If I had realized that I had the "Welcome Spring" stamp I would have signed up for the spring card swap. It helps to occasionally go through your stash so you remember what you have!

Pam! Great use of those die cuts on your card fronts!
We did a fun class at re(create) last year about using scraps to make card fronts and then layering a die cut on top. Which reminds me...I have a 12 x 12 page covered with scraps...hm...

Super cards!!

Cross-platform this one. The grid uses several diecuts. I've had that white one for a while.

Here’s the page I was thinking of! So easy since the background was done and I had the cut file in my notebook! Just had to print the photo.

Every piece of paper that I used for the cards, including the card bases, were scraps. Now that I have them in baggies by color they're seeing the light of day.
