3/2020 Bingo!

Post by pamcook »

Nancy Y used to post bingo cards for card challenges. I think if her when I see them. I lifted this one from Jen Schow for us to use this month. (It’s also a nod to Calvinball.)

I don’t think Farley would mind if we used it for cards as well. Or perhaps someone would like to post a separate card challenge?

I’ll post my page later today.

Hey Pam, are we supposed to just do a row, or fill the card? Was thinking of Calvinball yesterday when I made two cards - one I needed, one so I could count a full point ;) And I used a frame; those may be my only 2 Calvinball points this month, LOL.

Do as much or as little as you'd like/have time for. Bragging rights is your Bingo prize. Same as Calvinball!

It was all I could do to complete my page and post it yesterday. I felt like crap all day and couldn't even focus on totaling the points so I decided my points don't matter this month. I just want to do a page a day and use her daily rules/prompts as inspiration.

That's a beautiful card. You used one of my all-time favorite florals.

And yes - BONUS POINTS! :cool5:

I didn't take any messy mixed media stuff with me to the crop... but... I do want to play with it on some layouts... so... fun playtime coming up. :-)

Sue! How fun is this! I love all the colors and he is beautiful, isn't he? We saw our first wild turkey in our yard a few months ago (a female).
Had you seen any before this one?

Yes, Pam, they're here every day. I have bird feeders up for the songbirds and the turkeys come and eat the seeds that end up on the ground. It's usually just the hens, but now that it is mating season, the toms are tagging along and strutting their stuff. They're very beautiful, quite regal, very pompous and just kind of glide across the yard when they are in full plumage (not sure that is the right term).

Actually, now that I think about it, there may have been toms in the group all along and I just didn't know it. They really transform when they fan out.

This guy is the first one to come up on our patio. I was a little uncomfortable with him looking in my window (and pecking at his reflection), so I moved the patio furniture and he hasn't been that bold again.

Debi, the turkey embellishment is from Hobby Art Ltd's stamp set called Daryl the Quirky Turkey. I also used a stamp from that set for my Thanksgiving cards last year.

Pam - Another really nice page, I really like how all the elements work together.
Sue - fun turkey page. We have lots of wild turkeys in the wooded areas in town. They really have beautiful colouring when you see them in the sunlight.

Not a full card bingo yet, but these two layouts cover 12 squares: handwritten journaling, stickers, enamel dots, mixed font title, multiple photos, washi tape, 3+patterned papers, scraps, something hoarded, journal card, mixed media, diecut. Both for my Alaska album.
