Happy Friday! What Are Your Super Bowl Plans?

Post by paddlegal »

What is everyone up to this weekend? Californians are a little crazy here with the 49ers in the SB. I’m no football fan but this might be a fun Bowl this year. Our son and GF will be here and in between his studying he’ll join us for some halftime food and maybe more. Meanwhile I am excitedly awaiting today my recent CP order “In the Kitchen”. One stamp set is all vegetables, LOL, so of course I had to have it and maybe a few other items.

This morning I’m off to a chilly Aquafit class, food shopping for the weekend and then craft time with my new stuff...oh and get your next card technique challenge posted. And maybe I’ll get those valentine cards completed and out by Monday. Saturday some free birding time. Sunday morning I’ll be wearing my docent hat and help lead a bird walk and tour of the Bufferlands then home for the game.

What about you all?

Layout A Day starts tomorrow so I'm prepping today (getting 7 page kits ready). Usual trip to the farmer's market and maybe the flea market. We're having spring weather again this week so any excuse to be outside is a good one.

We might watch THE GAME. We've been long-term Niners fans since we lived in NoCA. Can you call yourselves fans when you haven't watched a game in several years? I wish we were at our son's - there'll be a BIG SUPERBOWL PARTY in his neighborhood.

OH - and I'm picking up an under cabinet fridge to replace our broken dishwasher space. I don't need a dishwasher but I do need more fridge space and this is a cheap way to get more.

In other words - adulting this weekend. At least between my layout a day.

I don't do sports, so for me it's a weekend of Super Bowl scrapping! A Disney scrappers forum I'm also a member of is having a 5 day Super Bowl crop event, so I'll be doing my round robin layout from Pat's and some of those challenges as well.... crap. I have to clean off the table first! I buried it in fabric and notions for a sewing project.

It'll be like any other day at our house. We quit supporting the NFL a while back except for Panthers games. Our football now is primarily watching UGA - Go DAWGS!

In other words, our football season was over in mid December.

I'll be wallpapering in our rental apartment kitchen, trying to get our rental
apartment rentable, but it's been one thing after another.
I had an unfindable leak into the walk-in closet and it
should have been found the very first time I had the plumber
come in, which was months ago and because I trusted their
work and still had the leak I had 2 roofs repaired and still
had the leak, hopefully now it's been fixed. I'll do laundry
over the weekend to see if it gets any water. If we get no more water
we will have to redo the work that we did in the closet when
we thought the leak was fixed the first time and then it will e on to
the little things that mount up. New brackets for the mini blinds because they
don't make the ones with cords anymore and the cordless have a larger bracket.
touch up paint for the new window frame and baseboard and the kitchen
cabinets, etc. etc.
Hopefully we'll be ready to rent by March, then I can retire. :)

Home from birding this morning and although the temperature was not much below freezing I'm still trying to warm up. These two were in a flock of two dozen Cedar Waxwings, almost makes me want to plant a crab apple tree. I'll probably pay attention to the score but won't be watching the game tomorrow. I've been making some inroads recently with the studio reorganization, so that might win out over scrapping.

Oh! How! Beautiful! Outstanding photo Keitha. Framable and scrap-worthy for sure. I love the Cedar Waxwings too. They hang out around my house in the winter snacking on pyracantha berries and mistletoe. I did a little bit of birding this morning too.

Reorganizing your craft room is a perfect Super Bowl activity. This day use to be my favorite day to go snow skiing. The slopes were typically vacant during the game. Loved that.
