Just read that AC Moore is closing down. Some will become Michael's. Does anyone else have an AC Moore close by?

I have one about 50 miles away. Hate to hear this, but the selection hasn't been that good over the past few years.

My closest one is 30 miles away. I was in that area recently so stopped in to see something but prior to that, it was probably several years since I've been there. I won't miss it.
Re: store closing
Peggy has one up in the Norfolk area... I'll have to tell her to keep an eye out for deals!

Re: store closing
Never had one so can't miss it. All we have here is Michaels - no Joann, no Hobby Lobby, no AC Moore, no Tuesday Morning. I'm very thankful for online shopping.

Re: store closing
We have both near us so I am pretty sure that Michael's will not take that one over. Wouldn't mind a Hobby Lobby but there is one in North Myrtle so I doubt they will take it over.
I happen to like AC Moore better than Michael's.

Re: store closing
No AC Moore’s out west as far as I know. Sorry for those of you that have enjoyed the store. As for Michael’s, meh. I now have a Hobby Lobby just ten minutes from me. It’s in a HUGE shopping center that opened a little before Christmas last year. The usual big box stores. Unfortunately it abuts to my beloved Bufferlands (2500 acres of preserved land for wildlife and amazing birds) where I am a docent. Sigh. 4500+ homes planned to build there also. More sighs.
But admittedly I do go to that Hobby Lobby when in need of basics. I am sad that there is no longer in my geographically desired area a “real” craft store where I can look at new releases of stamps and touch papers and other goodies.
In spite of having HL, Michael’s and JoAnn’s nearby I am with Keitha...thank goodness for the internet.

Looks like Blitsy will be going down soon
unless they are holding back on showing
stock available because of their Black Friday
sale.
Not very much showing when you search,
no stamps at all coming up

I just got a great deal from Blitsy on Tombow glue. Just $2 a bottle. And got some 5x7 blank cards with envelopes. 50 for $4.

Re: store closing
Blitsy was low inventory all summer too. I remember something about them moving locations, but I don't see that anything at all has been restocked and a distinct lack of new product. What new product I've seen for the most part reminds me of the store brand stuff from Michael's or Hobby Lobby.... the stuff I ignore....EDelValle wrote:Looks like Blitsy will be going down soon
