Cara & my mom from this past summer. Inspired by a page I saved from Pinterest.

Thanks Jill & Marianne.

This page was fun to do. Two really bad photos but they’re what I have!

Love your LOs and your journaling on the “hug” one. Very sweet and so true.

Bad photos still capture the memory for you Pam. I like the idea of taking a selfie on the plane and using the airport codes for your title; must remember to try that!

Exactly! We hadn't been on a plane together in several years. Joel was so happy I paid for the "premium" seats (more leg room) that he was almost silly-happy. The other shots were even "worse".

Pam P did a review of the new WRMK tool for us. So far, hearing that people like it. I think it would be perfect for travel kits (crops and for people like you who practically have a second home!).

I scrapbooked! This page fits the challenge by virtue of the tiny jewelry tag I painted silver that's to the left of the title. My goal is to put touches of silver on all my Alaska layouts - which admittedly will look better with the glacier photos - but it turns out I don't have a lot of silver in my stash. Wouldn't have thought to add the tag without Pam's challenge, but I can see that being something I'll add to other pages as well.

I love it Keitha. That blue just pops right off the page and reminds me of how blue the sky looks when your view is through all the lush evergreens. Silver looks really good with that color combination.

Did you wonder why bears won't climb a building like that when they'll climb trees? Or maybe the bears there aren't the tree-climbing type?

That did cross my mind Pam, although I didn't think to ask when we were there. The ladder would be removed of course; maybe the bears can't get a good grip on the peeled poles. The raised structure also discourages rodents and smaller mammals.

I think you're right Keitha... the bears don't climb the peeled poles... but after watching the last snowy season of Alone... we learned that wolverines will climb those poles... longer claws, maybe.. and lighter weight. And removing the ladder was key, too. :-)

Fascinating.
Oh - and Keitha - the antler embellishment - did you make it?

The antler pieces came out of a box of Kaisercraft wood veneers in a Woodlands theme - perfect for this trip. I used Distress Stain to colour them. I'm trying to use wood veneers on all the pages for this album; I don't love them, but having acquired more than a few feel like I need to use them.

What an interesting layout, Keitha, I love the paper with the animal footprints!
