Debi gorgeous LO and your lilies are amazing! I have a thing these days for the color of coral....your gorgeous LO really hits home with me.

So this is my contribution to the Nature Class even though I coulnd’t name these leaves. LOL.

All stamps are from the new Stamp of Approval July Kit plus all inks are CP inks.

Does something that previously lived in the sea count? Sorry the photo is so skewed - I'm darned if I know where my easel is hidden.

I needed something to hang in the guest room now that Chris has taken all of his paintings, so I worked on this for several days. 11 x 17 canvas and a lot of turquoise paint!

I can't seem to stop making cards - don't know who I'm going to send them to, but I'm enjoying making them.
The "Celebrate" card was super easy and fun to make so I also made a couple of Christmas cards and one with butterflies.

I stopped into my favorite thrift store last week and they had a whole bunch of Close To My Heart stamp sets (for $1.00). They were older sets, but flowers, frames, butterflies and Christmas never go out of style. Anyway, I think I got about 20 sets :D and the second card uses one of them. I stamped the flowers in Distress Oxide Ink and added clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle (wish you could see it) and Nuvo Drops for the flower centers. The background paper has been in my stash for many, many years. I think it may also be Close To My Heart.

The flamingo card uses some print and cut flowers from Silhouette Studio and the pretty paper on the top of the "thinking of you" card is vellum.

Re: Projects class... finding a UFO and getting it done

I was looking through some old paper this morning and found this background page that I made ages ago. I didn't like it at the time so I just put it with the old stuff. Today I found the perfect use for it.

Yes, that is lettuce on Pugsley's head. My son thought it was a good idea.

Nature class - Fauna

Post by nchoney »

We had a flora topic.... but not a fauna one.... and I have animal layouts, of course... and I'll bet some of you do, too!!

Once we've had a little rain... these dragonflies appear.... I'm happy to have them catching mosquitoes if that's what they're after!!

This is the next layout of our Scandinavian trip. I used acrylics and distress ink with stamps and stencils.
