Last days of summer 2019 (mine are in first post now)
This challenge lasts from now until the end of September.
Choose several project life type cards from your stash that are just sitting there. Take a photo of them. Then use them to create DIY embellishments (take a photo of them) that you’ll use on a scrapbook page (or 3 or 4 - bonus points will be awarded). Post the photos!
There are many videos on YouTube for DIY embellishments. Use punches & die cuts. Add washi, flowers, stickers, ephemera, stamps, stencils...
Not a scrapbooker? Create a set of cards with your creations.
Earn even more bonus points if your layout has 3 or more photos, 2 different fonts, and journaling that tells the story about your feelings related to the photos.
Mine - finally in progress

Re: Last days of summer 2019
This is a fun challenge, I’ll try to do it when I get home from me and Cait’s Road trip. We are in Duluth, MN tonight and will be LaCrosseWI tomorrow. Having a great time and after this trip I will only have 3 states to complete the 50. Yay
Re: Last days of summer 2019
Pam, your embellishments are fabulous. I have A LOT of PL cards, so hope to give this a go.

Outstanding embellishments Pam. I have TONS of those darn cards that I was so sure would push me to scrap. NOT! So I’ll dig them out and try to make some card embellishments.

I used the same set of cards to make these embellishments.
Okay - Mom says the woman holding the baby is my great grandmother’s sister (the one in the picture). The man behind her is her husband (woman with the baby). He is a cousin of my great grandfather but probably not the father of any of her children. DNA is confirming a lot of family rumors! She was mistress to several men!
Then made this page. My great grandmother is the woman in the dark dress. Will add other names as I confirm them. I think my great grandfather is standing behind her and I think the woman holding the baby is his mistress with one of their children. I'm feeling the need to play with paper and such.... so I think I'll pull out one of my containers of these crazy cards and see what I can cut up and create. I think I can lay my hands on some of the cards... and maybe some of the punches I kept. or I may just fussy cut things.... I'll just be happy to play with paper!!
This is a project I can fiddle with without paying much attention to it and not worrying if I mess something up.

I don’t know why I had never stamped on printed paper before. The tiny designs on the cards work well with outline stamps.
I also tend to just use white cardstock with my dies. Sue’s use of her dies and cards blew my mind. I love finding new ways use stuff I already have.

Good challenge Pam, and your embellishments and pages are wonderful. Unearthing the family skeletons, are you?
Sue, fabulous use of those cards for your page embellishments.
