Watercolour Backgrounds
Watercolour Backgrounds
Here are a couple of cards I made today. The square card has the design heat-embossed with silver pearl powder ( which doesn't show up very well in the photo ). The single poppy was embossed in gold.

Beautiful art, Kathryn. They should be framed and hung in a special place.

Very pretty!! The metallic embossing is super on those watercolor backgrounds. Terrific idea!

Re: Watercolour Backgrounds
Did you add the embossing after you painted the background?

Gorgeous!
Re: Watercolour Backgrounds
Thankyou for your kind comments. Pam, I painted a fairly faint background, did the embossing and then went back and added another wash of paint over the petals of the poppies. I had not tried this before and there were times when I thought they would end up in the bin!
Re: Watercolour Backgrounds
These came out really nice, in the photo the silver
embossed looks almost like a ghost image on the blue
Something different to do with our watercolors
thanks for sharing

Very pretty Kathryn, and oh so clever to enhance the petals after stamping.
