Another Milestone!

Post by pbp908 »

Well, 2 of them.

Last night I finally had a shower. May not sound like much of a milestone, but the wound is now small enough that it doesn't matter if it gets wet.

Next milestone - I've graduated to 2 week visits with the wound center, and Aug. 6 may be the last one. :-o

Am I a happy camper? Do bears and wolves mark their territory in the woods??? :greenbounce: :greenbounce: :greenbounce:

That's wonderful news! You're doing a great job of helping your body to heal. Not everyone heals so quickly.

Fantastic news!!!!!! So happy for you!

Now, promise us that you won't take on any more big projects by yourself (or potentially dangerous small ones  ).
Actually, just wrap yourself in bubble wrap every morning and you should be good.

Congratulations on being able to shower again! That is huge. I remember the month of sponge baths while recovering from my fractured collar bone surgery. Proud of you and your ability to behave so that your wound is clean and healing. I know that has been a hard one for you.

Yay Pam!!! :happy94:

Now be safe please.

Well, I do have some yard work that needs doing. :tomato:

As for healing quickly, the high protein diet combined with the supplements I take seem to be the key. That and keeping Apollo from playing tug of war with the dressings. ;)

Wow, that was a long time between showers! It must feel wonderful.

In the waiting room at the PT place where Ray has been going is one of those signs with all sorts of positive phrases for a wonderful life. One of them is "Build a Porch Swing". It always makes me smile and for some reason, I think of you.
