Glue Sponge

Post by paddlegal »

Has anyone else tried this? I stumbled onto this product while cruising through Amazon. It arrived yesterday and I just now gave it a try with a random loose die sitting on my desk. LOVE it! Later today I’ll try it with a more delicate die since that was what I really wanted it for. $9.99...I think worth it. So far seems to be sticking well.

Haven't bought it yet, but I have it on one of my wish lists ( either Simon Says or Scrapbook.com). So glad to hear you like it. Going to check Amazon and see if it is the same brand, size, etc.

Do you "re glue" the pad on occasion? Like reinking an ink pad.

Could you make one of these with an uninked pad, you know those are for sale.

I will have to check about “re-glueing” that pad. It will be interesting to see how long it will last. I am able to take the whole sponge out of the container so I can use it for larger items. It sits flush in the plastic container it comes in. Also has a good tight lid but is easy to open.

As for making your own, I am sure that is possible. It’s a sponge and not anything like ink pad material. It’s fairly dense and a synthetic rather than a natural sponge. Supposedly it will deter bacteria from forming.

I really forget where I first saw this. It may have been SSS. But as I was buying some other crafty supplies on Amazon I just bought it there also since I get points on my amazon prime CC.

I’m back: Just checked price on SSS and it’s $6.99 plus shipping. So cheaper but I had free shipping on Amazon order.

Just saw a video where Kristina Werner used it for the first time. She seemed to like it. No idea how well it holds up over time.
