Use It

Post by pbp908 »

I had to think about this for a bit, because I feel like I've lost my creative mojo. Maybe a challenge will make me search for it.

We all purchase warehouse boxes, grab bags, etc. but how much of it is actually used? I challenge myself and whoever wants to join in to use those goodies. Doesn't have to be a SB page - cards, journal pages, tags, book marks - however the creative spark takes you.

The box from Pink Fresh actually came at a great time. I've fallen way behind in scrapping, as a recent printing spree showed me. I found 2 years of Christmas photos and a lot of other things that I had said I wanted to scrap. Unfortunately this year's Christmas photos were primarily blue, and I've always been a traditionalist in using red, green and gold. Eureka! Blue Christmas goodies in the box! While I don't have many photos of this year because my old camera died and I didn't have enough brains to insert a card into the one that I received for Christmas, I'm documenting as much as I can. (Even Julie's photos were bad.)

Way to go, Pam! I'm a traditionalist myself when it comes to Christmas, but I love the blue with your photos!

How pretty! I love them!
I’m slowly moving away from the more traditional Christmas colors but don’t love a whole lot of the newer collections. I think Pinkfresh does a great job with theirs.

Love the way you used all the words and carried the dots over to the second page, Pam.

I like all the nontraditional colors for Christmas. It makes a nice change from red and green.

Thanks for this challenge. I’ve pulled out and put away this package of acetate triangles at least 10 times. Time to use them.
Yes, pictures from 2012. Kenan was almost 2
When he took this picture of us. Impressive even though it’s a bit blurry. This was when we all lived in the same time zone for a few months.

PamC: Sensational use of the triangles I am pretty sure I sent you, LOL. You met the challenge in style. Truly a fabulous LO Pam. I knew you could do something awesome with them.

How did you adhere them? I have some, too, and can never figure out how to make them stick w/o seeing the adhesive.

Thanks Farley!

Pam, I used some of the dot roller adhesive. Liquid adhesive will work. I try to put adhesive/glue behind a darker spot in the design. If it’s very obvious, I’ll layer an enamel dot or sticker on top.

The papers used are from a Simple Stories warehouse box. I thought that they look old fashioned enough for 1954 photos. ;) Cross post from Pam's challenge.

PamP the papers are so 1950s! Love the LO and the title finished it off just right.
