Had to share

Post by pat-czap »

Mr. DH, Greg...is in the ER since earlier this morning. Wasn't feeling quite right at work, so he drove himself to the hospital. Seems as though he has AFIB. They are trying different meds to bring his heartbeat under control. No beds available, so he stays in the ER, perhaps overnight as planned for observation. Geez, that place was hopping. He is bored! I was over there 2x, but came home to get laundry done, and give us a break from looking at each other and wondering what next! They may due stress test in the AM.
He was due to go to Columbus on Wednesday for cancer doc appt., but is trying to reschedule. Too many health things in one week, I guess.

Oh man I wish you were here. No way would we keep him overnight for new AF. We used to but changed our protocol a couple of years ago. Too many cooties in the ED this time of year, too.

Keep us updated.

Pat, I'm so sorry. You guys have had enough already. Prayers that the doctors can get everything under control.

Oh Pam. It's 2019 but we're living the high life in the 80's here. I do not mean that in a good way. This area is weird. I think Ohio is weird in the smaller towns and cities. They may look progressive, but mentality not always so much. Sorry.
Had similar issues when son Dan was in there for ITP.

Earlier in the day Greg was wondering out loud about maybe he should have drove 2 hours to Columbus...

Anyhow, at 7:40 pm, still in ER. Hoping for a room soon.

Oh, gosh, Pat. So sorry to hear this latest. Hope they can at least get him into a bed soon. If nothing looks better tomorrow, you might ask him if he wants to consider going elsewhere. :happy94:

Oh my goodness Pat! Really sorry to hear this. Thank goodness he has a bed now. I hope you both are getting some well deserved rest tonight. I know Bob’s experience in the ER in January was tough but getting into a room improved things. The staff is so different from the ER staff and understandable. However, I do admire all hospital staff and what they have to juggle and cope with.

Keeping my best thoughts that Greg gets answers tomorrow and is out of there fast. Take care of yourself too please. Thanks for letting us know and when possible keep us posted.

He is still in hospital, and not a happy camper.

Had echocardiogram and a stress test today. Heart rate still fluctuating. New meds at 4 pm. Hospitalist wants to observe, cardiologist would discharge. Hospitalist has final say. Yikes. Did I mention Greg is not happy?

Thanks for your concern.

How are the other ailing and on the mend, hubbies doing today?
