2/2019 Use it!

Post by pamcook »

You should have seen this one coming.

Normally I choose photos first and then products to make a layout. This month challenge yourself. Choose a product (or group of products) you’ve put in the back burner for too long. I’ll bet you can find photos to work with it.

I have 2 sheets left in a 6x6 pad that are getting used today. Will post in a few minutes.

Intentionally choosing supplies to use up makes me look at my supplies in a while different light.

I hope you’ll join in!

I ended up using the B side of both pieces of paper.

I've had this beige textured paper for so long that I don't even remember purchasing it. I love the wood grain but it really doesn't show up that well. I also pulled out the good old Cricket to cut the snowflakes. It still works! After looking at the scan I see a couple of snowflakes that I'm going to move. ;)

Pam C, your guys certainly look like trouble! I'm always bowled over by your wonderful clusters on your layouts.
Pam P, your textured background paper really makes those snowflakes pop. The paint chip is a great accent too.

Forgot to add the oldest piece there! It's the dark blue glitter paper. Bought it eons ago for something that escapes me now.

Pam C., I love that Two of a Kind photo. It looks like they're having such a good time and you really showcased the photo. Great page.

Pam P., wonderful pages. I love all the snowflakes and that paint chip is just the perfect touch. I'm pretty sure I still have some of those laying around somewhere.

This page uses two very old CS papers (correct me if I get the kit names wrong). The vertical strip to the right of the photo is Bugs (2002 :-o ) and the full background sheet is Cyprus (2008).

I'm going to use more of my CS stash this year. Holding onto scrapbook paper for over 17 years is just crazy (or is it?)

If you're crazy then I'm crazy. I am going through and trying to use older papers. It's time to use it or get rid of it.

I know that paper & cardstock looks so much better in our albums than it does in a stack somewhere.
This layout is another great example!

This is the companion to the fishing page above. No CS paper on this one, but I did pull out an old piece of handmade paper and all of the white die cuts are from our recent die cut swap (thank you Cheryl H., Jill and Pam P).

My goal for this month is to get somewhat caught up with getting recent pictures onto pages and then sort through two iris cases of layouts and put them in albums. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need more page protectors and another album or two.
