Oh I see those little scooters all the time
there is a bone and joint center in our
office building and they usually Rx them for
the kids who might not use the crutches
properly

Hope your Hubby heals quickly, Thank God it
wasn't worse

Hope Mike can get some rest, and recovers soon. That deck-collapse looks horrific!

He's getting some rest today and keeping that ankle elevated.

Glad to hear he’s behaving. Hope he’s not in much pain. Not fun. I just noted the link you provided. OMG! It’s really amazing no one was injured any worse than they were.

Mike is feeling better.... the shoulder isn't aching... and he's being good about keeping it in the sling. The foot is worrying me... and apparently him, too, since he mentioned hoping that the ortho Dr. wouldn't tell him something was broken... it's still super swollen and he's staying on the pain meds for that. He's keeping it elevated and iced... so it's bugging both of us that some of that swelling hasn't gone down yet. But... we'll see the ortho Dr. on Thursday and get some better info. Thankfully, he can zip around the house on that little knee-scooter.

Thanks for keeping us in the know Debi. Foot problems are tough as you both all too well know and so do I. I’m sorry you have to wait till Thursday for Mike’s appointment. Tell Mike we’re thinking of him.

Sending you both :happy94:

soaking the foot in epsom salts might help
to reduce the swelling

Not sure the epsom salts would work with the swelling that's caused by the bruising.... but we just might give it a try!

He's got a nice relaxing acupuncture appointment this afternoon... so that should make him feel a bit better overall.

Dr. says it's a nasty sprain and it'll take 6 to 8 weeks to heal. Another appt. in a couple weeks and then he can start doing some exercises. Shoulder exercises in a couple weeks too.

Joint injuries take so long to heal. Good to hear no fractures or surgery.

Oh that’s good news in spite of the length of recovery.

So glad nothing is broken and no surgery needed. Sprains can be a real aggravation, but tell Mike to enjoy his time home with Chevie!
