August 2018

Yes, very early but not sure how much internet access I’ll have.
The challenge for this month is to use this mood board.

Pretty choice!! Might be fun to try with alcohol inks and gold foil!

This is a beautiful mood board. I just may do a layout or two. I'm at a quilt retreat this week, so next week I can do paper stuff!

There are definitely times when my LOs take a left turn at Albuquerque, and this was certainly one of them. Couldn't get the photo color corrected (the bedding and walls are shades of turquoise with brown accents), couldn't get the lavender to work, and the gold lettering for the title just didn't work. :( At least I have turquoise and some gold in the LO, so 2 out of 3, calling it good, and done is done. Oh, right - tried to stamp the date and smeared the heck out of it.

Cool layout but I have to laugh because I was *just* talking with a coworker about Bugs Bunny missing that left turn at Albuquerque! And that he used Walla Walla, Washington as a magic word like hocus pocus.

I like it! And... there are no layout police... or rules, for that matter. So that inspiration board was for inspiration... and it worked!!

I bet Pam would say you get bonus points for using the gold mist droplets!! :-)

Marianne...it was a local retreat, 5 minutes from home. You could sew 7 am till 10 pm. My quilt group put it on. There are many groups around here and many retreats. The lady across from me, attends 9 retreats each year, with 2 of them for machine embroidery.
I worked on 3 projects, none near completion. Stay tuned.
