Pokémon Graduation Card

Post by paddlegal »

Yes, my grandson graduated from Kindergarten yesterday and though it sounds over-the-top (which is was somewhat) it really was cute...or at least what we saw of it. We left for Folsom in plenty of time to arrive for the ceremony. But didn’t take into account that there would be a grass fire on the highway! We sat and crept for at least 20 minutes getting past it, hunted for a parking place once there and arrived just in time to take photos of the graduates together up on the stage, LOL.

No matter, Nathaniel and his sister were happy to see us and we were able to join in on the festivities at his school.

So he is really into Pokémon and with the guidance of what character and proper wording from Charley I was able to download these characters and print and cut them on my KNK including the trifold card. I will just say I had another learning experience making it. Figuring out what graphic images from the internet work and how to manipulate them to print correctly took me pretty much the entire day to make this card. Nathaniel’s smile made the effort definitely worth it.

You know me...not much of a scrapper so I am showing photos of yesterday. Who knows, maybe I’ll get around to scrapping this anyway.

A few more photos of Nathaniel and grandpa.

Group photo Nathaniel is almost dead center just left of girl with her hand on her face.

I am so impressed.
I took a screenshot and sent it to Shai (she is my Pokemon super fan) you blew her mind (and now she wants me to make her one  )

K graduation is so cute. Yes it is more for the parents and probably is over the top, but seriously ....Look how adorable they are.

Thanks everyone. Yes, Nathaniel was quite thrilled with his card.

You know, Shai and Charley are the same age...24, right? They were right in the hay day of Pokémon. Charley still enjoys it and has a Mega Blok (like LEGO) Charizard in his room, LOL.

Christy, let me know if you would like me to make Shai a card with her favorite character.
