pat-czap wrote:Thanks Pam. I did not go to chiropractor today. Last evening my long time nemesis Vertigo raised it's ugly head. Big time episode with nausea and vomiting. Never had that type of episode before. Woke up feeling better, slightly dizzy at times. Dramamine is helping. I was hoping this would have reset everything back to how it was with my hearing...no luck there.
Oh Pat I am so sorry! Could this be related with your hearing?
Bob had vertigo this winter and finally got in to see a physical therapist. One treatment and he was good! What a difference it made. He did one more treatment and he’s been clear of the dizziness since. One of the questions the PT asked was if he had ringing in his ears which he did experience a little. So get that ENT of yours to refer you to a PT that knows the vertigo maneuvers.
Farley...I have had vertigo for several years, but only now and then it bothers me. This time was the WORST .
I have positional exercises that I do. I have been to a few different doctors over the years, and never feel quite satisfied. Hoping next Wednesday brings some relief.
I feel really hopeful for you. Most chiropractors can treat vertigo very effectively and yes, it would make sense the hearing loss and vertigo could be related. Of course all this is a bit of “curb side” diagnosing but I really hope you’re feeling better soon!
Vertigo is better, but lingers.
1st chiropractor appt. done.Working on neck, vertigo and hearing.
Still can't hear.
Went to audiologist to see and be fitted for a CROS hearing aid. Still thinking on that.
Other suggestion is to visit a Osteopathic doc who does manipulations.
I'm glad the vertigo is a bit better. I hope the new doctor will be able to figure out what is causing the hearing loss.
Sending prayers and good thoughts your way.
Thanks for the update Pat. I had an episode of vertigo a few weeks ago. I felt miserable all day - even after it resolved.
I do hope you find someone who can give you some answers and some help.
Darn Pat, sorry your hearing problem is unresolved and hope the next doctor can give you some answers. That vertigo is awful. I’ve had it from time to time but it only lasts a few hours. But I think I mentioned that Bob had it bad this past winter but the PT’s manipulations kicked it.
