Christmas Cards

Many of you know me from Club Scrap. I have been a member for many years. I love the paper scrapbook page kits. They really are a timesaver, having everything for each page right there in the box. However, I'm not really crazy about their stamps (sorry). So when I make Christmas cards for family and friends, I can use any stamp I want.

Here are some of the cards I've been working on this year.

The 2nd pic is the Stampin' Up, Star of Light Kit except for the Christmas Greeting which is Gina K Designs. The 1st pic is the Stampin'Up Starlight Thinlits, with a Sizzix Die. Sorry, don't remember where the Merry Christmas stamp came from?????

These are Gina K Designs. I used Gold embossing powder for the trees and greeting and layered some gold paper. For the Peace on Earth, I just used a bit of masking to make sure the stamping stayed where I wanted it.

These sets of cards are Stamp of Approval Catherine Pooler. I love her quarterly collection releases. They are chock full of lots of stamps and dies and stencils I can use over and over and over again.

You've been very busy. Your cards are beautiful. I especially like the gold embossed trees - very elegant.

The backgrounds on these two cards are also Stamp of Approval Catherine Pooler. The penguin is a Hampton Arts die and stamp set. I bought it because the penguin is adorable, however, the die does not really fit. I had to do some coloring to hide the fact that the die does not line up properly. The Christmas tree is also a Hampton Art combo - the tree lined up fine on that.

My final card is a combination of an embossed and inked background Hero Arts stamp, Focal Image is Stampendous and the O Holy Night Greeting is Ink A Dink A Doo. All done in a non-traditional color. Someone posted about using other than traditional colors and I thought I might try it.

Wow you are ready with all those fabulous cards. I LOVE the coffee mug tree. I had a similar stamp/die problem with a Hampton Art set. All the dies worked fine except one was a bit off.

They're all very pretty. I'm glad I don't have to choose a favorite!

These are really pretty. You've reminded me that I purchased a tree stamp very similar to the one you used. :-o

The wonderful thing about here? We use whatever we want. ;)

these are all fantastic Barbara! I too get the Catherine Pooler SOA boxes. I love them, like you say they are so well coordinated. I didn't get last years Christmas box but I did end up getting that background stamp earlier this year, it is fantastic for so many things!

Love the cards. Have that set of thinlets and made several cards with them.
